Now this is the date when Emperor Constantine called the Council of Nicaea.in 325 A.D. Please note that year, 325 years after Christ was born. prior to this Council "bible" stories were passed on by word of mouth, mainly, up to the speaker what went in to the speech or lesson.
Constantine had converted to Christianity and decided, to his credit, that he wanted a written book of rules laid down and agreed upon. They all got together and discussed whose Gospels were going in and whose were not. Out went the Book of Enoch, out went any from women and the big four were finally established Mathew, Mark Luke and John. All the rest were not used. So that was Bible mark 1.
Now in the 21st century Christians use the King James version. Please note that word "version."
Between Nicaea and King James everybody and his Granny have stuck their oar into the mix and ordered their own version to be put forward as suited to the compiler. Translations from one language to another have screwed up meanings. Scribing Monks put in whatever they were told to write by Abbots and Kings.
So the Bible is a good story but can only be considered as a very rough guide with little or no relation to any actual events. Indeed, famous philosophers/early diarists Pliny the Elder and junior have never written of Christ and they were contemporaries. It has been proven that the Romans NEVER had a Law calling everyone back to their birth town to vote for anything. Most of the towns mentioned in the Bible did not exist at the time of Christ. They were established much later, if at all.
