Salmond's dream of independent Scotland joining the EU is shattered by threat of Spanish veto

I live in Scotland and want us to be independent. However as an independent country we should not automatically have membership of the EU. The membership was for Britain as a whole.
After the break up there will be no Britain and no United Kingdom. The Queen should certainly not be considered as Queen of Scotland We don't need royalty in any form.
In fact, I have no wish to be a member of the EU either and thank Spain for bringing up the veto Scotland may benefit in the short term as a member but it just is not worth it in the longer term as Britain has found out to our collective cost.
Scotland should become a go it alone nation,again.
