'Africa will be major battlefield for Cold War between the US & China' — RT World News



A few hundred years ago, Africa was called the dark continent. People had sailed around it and a few beachheads had been established with trading posts to supply passing ships As these townships became bigger, settled by Europeans, the religious nutters moved there, too, as they believed, minister to their flock, who had probably been glad to get away from the turmoil,in Europe, caused by the rise of Protestantism in the 18th century.

Ever wanting to increase their market share, this religious nutters decided to convert every native that they could reach.!! Understandably, the natives said, 'f^^k off!! The military backed up the nutters, due to pressure from their home Governments, leading to territorial takeovers of native-owned land and inevitable wars. The UK, Germany, France, Portugal and Belgium all carved out different pieces and became the colonial power on stolen land!

Costs were enormous. Logistics were horrendous. Profits had to be produced, from these stolen lands, to balance the books, back home. In the meantime, the natives were used to test new weapons upon like guns and bigger guns!!! There had never been jungle warfare in Europe. It had always been 'stand your ground' and keep firing until one side was dead, had surrendered or just run away. In the jungle, there are no uniforms but there are people with different coloured skin. Enter Racism.

Profits were made. Diamonds in South Africa, Angola. Later huge gold, silver,oil and gas fields were discovered and uranium, in decent quantities. These, among other precious and rare earth minerals, made huge profits, not for the locals, who received crumbs from the plate, but profits for the colonial power and stock market traders all over the world.

With religion had come education. More and more, the exploited natives watched, as the colonial powers extracted everything profitable from 'their' land, returning very little. Native people began to complain and eventually revolt, demanding control of their own land and destiny. Each colonial power was eventually ousted and many new countries returned to a tribal system of governance which led to civil wars.

As one side fought the other, for overall control, outside players, who had 'missed the boat' first time round began to see opportunities to step in and replace the old colonials. China and to a lesser degree, Russia moved in. America never really got interested as they had been too busy having a civil war and then sorting out states.They had no navy to speak of at this time.

Internal wars raged, fueled by outsiders, in Angola (China), Congo (Russia) Mozambique (China) but in Northern Africa, countries such as Tunisia, Libya, Algeria and along the Mediterranean coast, threw out France and Italy and became independent. Many smaller countries managed to gain independence and totter on.

Now America has become interested in Africa. Lord help them,now!!!
