Flats, rented out in the private sector, offer no security of tenure to the tenant. A normal lease will say one month's notice either way and immediate vacancy should terms of the lease be broken. Now landlords are putting existing tenants out in order to rent out flats for the Olympic Games which will now make many people homeless.
