Rangers in crisis: Police probe files handed over by ousted chairman Alastair Johnston - The Daily Record

I don't think that getting the Police involved will do any good. In the West of Scotland, most officers are Protestant and support Rangers, even if they never pay to go to a match! Very few senior officers are not Masons and are, therefore, Protestants.
This whole Rangers thing is going to blow up in the faces of wide boy Whyte and his behind the scenes crew. They view it all as a mega deal to make money. However Rangers have a deep support from Orange Order members, Masonic Members and most of the Protestant population of Scotland.
They may just have bitten off too much. Tesco Ibrox does have a nice ring to it !!
