A referendum on Scotland's independence is too long to wait for me. However, by that time, Euroland may have disintegrated and the Euro with it. Scotland must stand alone and forget about joining the EU. Membership has all but suck the UK dry as more and more begging bowl countries have joined. The new members get money flung at them, paid for by those who have bothered to work, in the past, amassing wealth.
