Ford previews new Mondeo in Detroit - Telegraph

Ford previews new Mondeo in Detroit - Telegraph

I am currently carless having had a Ford Focus 1.8 until last March. Nothing sort of took my eye in this past year and I am having more difficulties walking. The knees have no oil!!! and the broken bone in my lower spine is giving loads of pain. However, I can just about stoat out to enter a car which then gives me freedom.
I looked at the Volvo S40. A beautiful car which sits on the road well. It looks like a tank, too.
I looked at the Vauxhall Insignia 1.8 diesel turbo. It has an electric driver's chair which goes up and down, which would help getting in and out. It is great inside, too. My problem? In Scotland we do tend to have Winters and both of the above are front wheel drive which is useless if you slip a bit on ice. You just spin round the front axle and enjoy the view! There is no push from behind to change direction in order to correct the skid.
In my madder youth I used to love drifting round round a bouts with the boot hanging out, with just a wheel tweek and a dash of power now and then to fish tail out at my exit!!
Then new Ford appeared. I cannot wait, I want one, NOW.
Yes it is front wheel drive but they are doing a four wheel drive one. Anyway I am a gadget freak now, in my middle age. I like all these cameras and self parking arrangement. The voice operated radio/CD/ USB hook up saves looking for and  twiddling knobs. If I use a Billy Connelly Glasgow accent I can see great fights ahead!!!No mention of Sat Nav, which I love argueing with and deliberately turn the wrong way just for fun. My favourite being when it says, 'turn left'  I shout, ' oh you think so? take this and re boot yersell silly!
I must get the strength of my pills upgraded, soon.
