I bet that you've never heard of Rockall !! It is said to be the most westerly rocky outcrop of Scotland and therefore part of the Uk. However Denmark, Iceland and Ireland are all fighting for ownership. Can you guess why? OIL!!
The biggest Atlantic deep drilling oil and gas fields surround Rockall and so whoever owns it, owns the oil under it. Hence the big fight about it.
