World Pipe Band Championship 2011
The event will be held on 13th August at Glasgow Green in the Gorbals Area of Glasgow, in Scotland. The Gorbals is now called Hutchesontown/Laurieston for some quaint reason. Possibly to hide the fact that it was a slum area in the past. The infamous Glasgow razor gangs, mainly Irish immigrants ran amok, there, in the 1920's and 1930's. See above item.
So toss yer sporran and blow into this octopus, please. See Bands and Dancers from all over the World. Pasadena Pipe Band from California, are sure to win, this year, but there will be second and third places, available, for all others who attend there, to fight over !!!
