Trident bill rockets to £31BILLION as nuclear subs will arrive 5 years late | Daily Mail Online



Nobody seems to talk in millions anymore. Everything is billions, if not trillions!!  I have posted on National Debts before but here I go again...

We accept that the National Debt of America or Britain will never ever be repaid. All we do is struggle to pay the interest on these mega loans. However, both of our countries continue to borrow more. Now Joe and Doris Sixpack will be stopped when the value of their surity runs out and the banks will foreclose.

But what happens to a country? If Britain got into the same position, would the World bank say right we now own Loch Lomond,Lake Windermere country park and Snowdonia National park.???

Are we really doing well getting these loans?  Say the interest is 10% and Britain borrows £138 billion to buy crap American F 35 aircraft. We can never pay the £138 billion so we pay 10% of it per annum.

Are we therefore getting these planes for 10 pence in the pound? Or £13.8 billion, assuming we pay in one year,of course!!!

It is all just a bad joke !
