I think that all of these contest shows are fixed in the on going ratings war between rival channels. I even consider that the lottery may be fixed as well.  Cynical, who me? Some number balls can be heated up, using a hair dryer, which expands the air inside and others, put in a fridge,which contracts the air.  Hot balls will not enter the shute, whereas cold ones will. Pretty simple !!

By leaving an empty cabinet on, for a while, the air inside gets hot.

Another method is slightly different sized balls, big balls are rejected. You can reverse this by putting a smaller diameter sleeve in the shute in order that it takes small balls only.

If you buy six books you should have every number possible. However, books can be printed omitting certain numbers,just as easily.
