Bike riders need no insurance and payment for any damage to the taxi and compensation for loss of earnings while the tax is being repaired would require a Civil Court case. If the bike rider just bolts,then you don't get their name and address.
Incidents like this,when a driver only has fractions of a second to decide, put me firmly in the ban bikes from roads camp.
