People,like me,who are actually disabled are allowed to have a car for three years under the Motobility scheme. This allows people to get out and about when they are unable to use public transport and gives some quality of life and independence.
However, alcoholics and drug addicts are also considered to be disabled. They are also entitled to a car,which to me seems crazy and very dangerous !!
