I still have my cube..somewhere. I remember spending hours trying to get it finished but failed. Eventually I sent away for printed instructions, having memorised them I could 'do the cube' in under 3 minutes. Some folks were soaking their cubes in soapy water, to make them turn faster.
I liked the guy who soaked off the colours and stuck them back on correctly! You can now get instructions on line. Apparently, it is based on the power of three and is all two moves one way and one move the opposite way, then permutations of the same. Got that ??
