Is this the world's first playground swing? Newly discovered photographs show how children had fun in the days before health and safety 

In my youth I played on swings like these. We used to have contests where a person would swing in as high and arc as they could and then jump off, to fly through the air as far away from the swing as you could, to land on the grass!!! We also had round- a- bouts which with two or three runners pushing it round, gave you centrifugal force, which could and did throw you off it.!!  Health and Safety nightmare!!!
How else could we learn what dangers there were in life. other than by experience?? Reading signs and booklets don't do it. You have to have been there or heard about it happening to a pal, before you knew danger. Our local council took the swings away,eventually,but left the framework as it was set in concrete. So kids just climbed up that and hung from the top. Why not ban gymnastic ring exercises,too.???!!!
