Travel With Tall Ship Bounty
They have just declared an emergency saying that they are taking on water n heavy seas some 160 miles West of the eye of the storm.
Surely they had details of the storm!!??!! Why try to reach Halifax Nova Scotia just for another tall ships race, which will, in all likelihood, be delayed by the weather.
They just had to try it on a three masted sail boat!!! Madness, in my opinion. They should have hove to, behind the storm and road it out, instead of going in to hug the coast.
UPDATE
17 souls have abandoned ship and are now inside two lifeboats. The Coast Guard say that it is too dangerous to go out and rescue them and so they ill just have to ride it out!! They are all in radio contact with each other,at present.
