The mobile phone will become useless as there is no electricity to charge them up. The internet will be next followed by frozen food, thawing out.
As streets are flooded and refuse collection will not return, for some time, the thawed out stuff will encourage the rats from the underground to eat it. This will bring diseases like dysentery.
