This sounds to me as a load of rubbish!! of course, the Gold would be insured, if not on it's own,then under any building contents insurance of the storage facility or if the ConnEd equipment was at fault, then their insurers foot the bill. But who ever heard of an inert metal being bothered by a few sparks???
How convenient as Germany want their fold back !!!
