Misery for UK holidaymakers as flights to and from US cancelled while New York City shuts down for Hurricane Sandy
Hurricane Sandy has already claimed te lives of over 40 people as she hurtled through Cuba on route to the Eastern seaboard of the USA. Damage has also been considerable.
Should Sandy actually hit New York then there could be more loss of life and lots of damage. If she misses then there is still a huge financial loss to be faced. The transit people are closing down. The airports are closing down. People will just not be able to get to work as more cars try to get onto the overcrowded roads either bugging out or trying to get to work. The loss in trade will be huge.
Talking of trading, the Stock Exchange will, of course, be open!!!
