China and Russia have had the Continent of Africa as their game, just like the board game, Risk, for decades. The British influenced countries, gained their independence, as did the countries under the influence of Portugal and France. Russia and China moved into the void. America missed the boat.
China is, much more, coming out from behind their bamboo curtain onto the World stage in a touchy feely way. Russia is more concentrated at home, after the ruin of falling for Ronnie Raygun's Star Wars and has left expansion alone, for now.
Africa is open to be taken, so which one will get the prize?
