I have never been able to convince people that the EU was a trial run for World Government. Countries outside of it were supposed to see how good it was inside and rush, like lemmings, to join up! However, it was only working because their economic polocy was one of rob Peter to may Paul. Money was paid by the richer countries to prop up the poorer ones and life being as it is, the poorer ones got round the trough very quickly, indeed and milked the system dry. had an even balance of new members consisted of some rich and some poor, they might have got away with it.
The EU was set up to see the pit falls on a micro scale prior to the full blown macro scale one World Government. As the eU is now failing, completely, this will set the One Worlders back for decades if not much longer.
