Wacko Jacko could just have easily overdosed. He was, apparently, so stoned on a cocktail of junk, most of the time, that he had no idea what he had ingested, had pumped into him or whatever. He paid this guy to watch all of this. But the doctor could not be there 24/7.
However like all junkies, I am sure that he had his secret stashes, they all do it, in case they just need a little more, after everybody advises them not to. Who knows what he had delivered on the side.
This doctor may have been useless but he may also be a fall guy too.
