Writing things down was rather silly, not putting the details into code was even sillier but it was criminal stupidity to let the details out of his control!! Why not use USB Sticks? He could then update on any computer, any where. Copy the sticks and post them to any address that he controlled and keep him and them apart, except when changing the details.
