Phil the Greek was said to have been a ship commander in the Greek navy during WW2, to cover up the fact, that he and his family were dyed in the wool Nazis. Of course, Liz Windsor, was originally a Saxe Coburg-Gothe, another German, who's father had the name changed, to a castle, after WW1, because the British folk might be offended that their Royalty were all of German descent !!!!

Phil has been very guilty of trying to get both feet in his mouth during speeches. He once said, in China, that if a group of British students stayed there too long, then, they would become slinty eyed!! To a Scottish driving instructor, he asked, How do you keep the natives off the booze long enough to pass the test??  Here are some more of his one liners!!
