For sale: your mobile phone number

For sale: your mobile phone number - Telegraph

You phone a call centre about whatever and get redirected via webphones to India where your number is recorded as incoming unless you have had the sense to bar your number being seen by the receiver, which very few do and many haven't a clue how to do.
So a print out of these incoming numbers is done and the mobiles sort out from the landline numbers. These mobile numbers are sold on and you get bombarded with text messages selling everything !!!
Contacting landline numbers is illegal under cold calling Laws but mobiles are not included. i can't understand why they pay for these lists. A mobile number is easily recognise. you can even tell which system issued the number from the first few digits. So why not just get one and go 1,000 forward and a 1,000 back from it.
