So America can now borrow even more money, never to be paid back !! Up to 20% of their Growth Domestic Output is now for debt. They are having a hard enough time paying the interest payments on time never mind repaying the capital. So who has all the money for America to borrow?
The main players are China, the Middle East, South Korea and perhaps Taiwan. Japan is having some problems just now and will not be playing Monopoly for a while. The E.U. is too busy throwing lifeboats, overboard! India, is a new upcoming player and South Africa is not poor either.
