Actually this heading is wrong but it does come from an English newspaper and so nothing unusual regarding Scottish matters. He left the SSP and formed Solidarity.
But all that aside I had been saying that he would not get away with it this time and it now looks like he will be supping some porridge! of course he has the right to appeal and upon hearing his sentence next month he might well do. He may either appeal against the verdict or accept the verdict an appeal against the gravity of the sentence. I think he will go the whole hog in the hope that an error has been made somewhere in the case and he could then walk free on a technicality.
