China unveils world's longest sea bridge

A bridge too far? China unveils world's longest sea bridge which is five miles FURTHER than the Dover-Calais crossing | Mail Online

All of these bigger bridges are leading to just one thing. A bridge between Alaska and Russia. This bridge has already been designed and the drawings and costings made which are updated now and again. If started it wold take 10 to 12 years to build during only a few months of each year actually on site. The rest of the time, when site work cannot take place, time will be spent fabricating and transporting sections. It would contain road and rail transport running each way.
It would then be possible to drive from Patagonia at the bottom of South America up through Central America, into Canada and on into Alaska. Then across the bridge to Russia and you could then drive either West to Europe and down into Africa or South into China, Vietnam and Laos or drive to India Pakistan and down via Iran and/or Iraq into Saudi Arabia.
This would leave New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, Phillipines and the UK all isolated from the roads. Although by using the Rail Tunnel or Ferries the UK can access the World Motorway quite easily
