Over the past five or six years more and more horror stories about the treatment or more normally non treatment, of the elderly have been reaching the public view. This has been a good thing in that attention has been brought to the fact that many elderly and disabled people are just, metaphorically, thrown on the scrap heap or "jailed up" in care homes!!
