The kid, who was killed, should have been wearing a helmet and therefore his parents are negligent in not ensuring that he did so because as a minor he was their responsibility. So they may have contributed to the death through that negligence. Perhaps, had he had a helmet on, he may not have died. Indeed the accident might even have been avoided if he had been wearing a bright helmet and/or florescent safety clothing.
So let's have a simple Law to avoid all this confusion. BAN CYCLISTS FROM ALL ROADS. !
