This is a puff piece to increase third quarter earnings. After New Year everything will be cheaper than today and as the austerity mesures kick in it will become a buyers market next Winter with sellers shouting "make me an offer I can't refuse."
You can see the rise of anything for a pound shops. Makers flood them with old and non moving stock and claim the losses against their Corporation Taxes. The VAT on a pound is less than the actually sales price so it's a waiting game in these pound only shops. If you see there regular suppliers you can buy very cheap for the freezer!
