I must say that I do admire Billy Connolly a lot. Not for his bawdy humour nor his showbiz cred. On one of my many hospital sojourns in Paisley a local musician was also in the ward, who was a pal from the days of the Humblebums .
Billy had obviously got word and he made time to come in to see his old pal, with no airs and graces nor any assorted bag carriers and luvvies. He came to visit an old pal, who was having a hard time.
