They would then guarantee a loan to the charity, which would then pay the costs. As the loan payments fell due,the Weirs could gift enough money to make the payments from the interest on their winnings. This gift would be allowed against tax on the interest.
This would mean that the Government paid after all and stick it up them for not paying in the first place!!! The Weirs would have their money.The operations would be paid for. Many more could be done, in the same way. The Government would pay them all!!!
