Hinckley is a little market town, near Leicester and you would hardly expect it to be a haven for pedophiles to go to and yet they do. Phil Oakey of the band, the Human League and John Stape,an actor in the TV soap,Coronation Street were born there. Tony Alleyne,a Star Trek fan, has turned his one bedroom flat, in Hinckley, into a replica of the USS Enterprise. Bikers will know it as it is the home of Triumph bikes and the specialist sports car builders,Ultima are also based there
Initially, four and now six parents, have set up a group named letzgohunting with their domain name registered in America, no doubt, to avoid tracing. They target people in chat rooms and encourage them to meet with a girl of supposedly 14, with a view to having sex. To have sex with a girl of that age is illegal in the Uk.
They tell these men to bring condoms and alcohol for a party and meet either in one of the main parks in Hinckley, or further afield, if the potential offender requests it. So far, they have video recorded a number of men, who thought that they were 'onto a winner.' They have handed over evidence of grooming for the purposes of sex to the police.
They are anonymous,for now, but their problems will arise when cases go to Court. Should a defense lawyer want to know who recorded the video, if it was not the police, then the'young' girl and the guys involved, will have to appear. Hopefully,they will be sensible enough to state a lawyer's name as a point of contact,otherwise their addresses will be on Court papers.They will have to give their names, in Court, even if they hide their addresses, via a lawyer. Their names may be enough to find them.
It is all very well to deal with one man,but should they uncover a large group of perverts, who will gain their details from the Courts,then it could be a very different story of good verses evil.
