Well, the big decision was made today. I have cancelled the lease agreement and the transit goes back on 31 January. It is just too difficult to get from my flat to the minibus as my arthritis means that I must be pushed in a wheelchair. Then I have to get up into the driver's seat. I can drive but obviously, I need someone to help me get in and come with me just in case of hassles. Not everybody has time to spare nor do they have the same interests as me. People who swore they would come out with me found excuses. One, unemployed for 15yrs, actually took a job!! Some thought their whole family could come along as a jolly day out. Many wanted payment plus expenses!!
It has cost me a lot of money buying satnav, camera, mic, tripods, small go pro's and so on came to about 2,000 and my deposit was 3,300 some of which will be returned. I have been paying 70 a week as lease payment for 5 months and did little travelling.
Moral of the story.....if you cannot do it alone, never rely on others.
