I recently bought a new Lenovo laptop It has an I7 intel chip 1Tb memory full HD and Dolby speakers and a massive 16 gig of RAM. Very fast!! It was priced at 1,249 UKP but I bought it in a sale for about half price 670 UKP and even managed to get it on 20 weeks credit.
A good deal !
BUT it has Windows 10 of course ! So I put 'the do not track extension on my browser and down loaded www.duckduckgo.com as a second browser which is not tracked and of course www.torproject.org. Fine.
KODI is now pretty useless due to numerous man in the middle attacks but I down loaded it anyway as bits of it work.
Now I have several external hard drives full of documentaries my old cassette collection and my CD collection. So having got stuff sorted regarding passwords and Dropbox and security I was ready to get going.
I like music as I surf about the net so I plug in my external HD CD collection to the USB and wait and wait and wait. Um !
I search about and discover that Windows 10 will not accept older HD units only new ones compatible with Windows 10 So all of my old HD units will not play on my new computer!!!! I haven't tried memory sticks yet and fear the worst!!
So I decided to down load some music which goes into download section and plays fine after opening several new windows. However, I like to put music into Documents ,which worked fine on my other laptops. I transfer and delete from download.It don't play from Documents
Then I get all involved in libraries and Groove music which I am still trying to get working.
Windows 10 is diabolical !!!!
