The European Union Was an AMERICAN Idea



There have been  and exist today, groups of philosophers and political thinkers who favour and have favoured a Planet with no countries and no separate Governments. Remember the concept of Utopia??Their theory is to have no divisions whatever and  the whole thing run and controlled by one Government and only one.

From time to time their views move into the mainstream and receive great backing,normally just after times of social upheaval and/or Wars. People thrash about saying, there must be a better way.' In these times of rethink huge social experiments have taken place,all of which have failed.

After WW1 the League o Nations was founded to put an end to all Wars. Admirable concept. It was completely ruined by in fighting over who sat on which powerful committee. Power is a great aphrodisiac. Along came WW2 and after that nightmare,step forward the United Nations. 'Nuff said!!

Scale became the next talking point Small is beautiful.The new plot was to combine global areas.

 economically as opposed to politically which led to the birth of the European Economic Council.

If this one worked then there would be one in Asia Pacific and one in the Americas, Eventually, over time, they would all combine and one World one Government would be born.

Some saw through it all and wrote about it. Aldous Huxley wrote Brave New World  and George Orwell wrote Animal Farm and 1984.  You really should read them !!
