UK Movie Pirates Facing Shocking Prison Sentences - TorrentFreak
The price of admission to a cinema covers a plethora of costs such as wages, building rent/build,rates adverts and so on. The total admission price does not go to the film owner. The cinema agrees a price to rent and show the film and hopes that the income from bums on seats covers costs and makes a profit.
Similarly the cost of DVDs includes packaging the disc cost of copying transport and adverts and so on.
Again a price is agreed to copy the film in the hope that sales cover costs and produce a profit.
It is rubbish to say that 100% of admission or sales price goes to film owner. There are distribution chains to be paid actors and blah blah blah all get a cut
