Climate deal 'signals end to gas cookers': They'll have to be phased out to meet new targets, experts claim | Daily Mail Online



Last year my local Council spent gazzillions on fitting gas central heating and boilers into their housing stock. Admittedly they got a mega grant from the EU to do the work. I opted out of having the work done,as I was allowed to do.

I have electric central heating and an electric boiler from a previous round of Euro funded home improvements. An electric element heats up thermal bricks inside the metal box. With no fan, to blow out the hot air,they are useless.!!! I do not use the central heating,instead opting to use moveable propane gas heaters,which are far warmer.

So it would now appear that all the money spent ,in the recent upgrades, has been completely wasted. You could be forgiven for thinking that these schemes are to provide jobs and profits, rather than serve any useful purpose.
