RAC warns of jams as 2.6m holidaymakers heading away will clash with commuters | Daily Mail Online
I can never understand why people don't plan their holiday travel properly when no third party is in control of times. Motorways are fantastic things but they are at their peak.
When I planned holidays I always worked out how long it would take to get there by the quickest route, normally, motorways or by using another route, using A Roads. It is normal for all A roads to allowig joining and withdrawing from motorways. Therefore by keeping on the radio, sections of motorway can be avoided, should there have been a crash. One merely gets off, quickly, going round the problem.
