A short ferry ride from France takes you to Channel Isles which are considered to be British. From there you may go to either Eire or to Uk mainland. The border between Eire and Northern Island is porous. You can cross a field and move from one country to anther.!!
From Dublin,in Eire you can take a boat from Douglas,IoM or to Liverpool in England or Straraer in Scotland, Anglesey in Wales
