Sainsbury's bans man from any store in Britain after he bumped shopper with mobility scooter |Well we do have Disability Discrimination Laws in the Uk and I don't think that Sainsburys has a chance of banning this guy. But it gets them free advertising!!
But about these scooters...........they are so quiet that walkers don't hear them coming. I was being wheeled through a hospital, on a normal wheelchair, last week and a walker,in front of me,stopped suddenly, to get something out of an inside pocket. I saw it coming and shouted. My wheeler missed it, because he was chatting to a mate !!
So is the answer to have them all fitted with those annoying two tone reversing alarms,as commercial vans and trucks do?? They would drive everybody nuts as the numbers of these scooters increases.
Some walkers get extremely annoyed being shouted at !! Would they rather be hit instead??
