Now Whitehall's crazy eco zealots want to ban your gas cooker, writes CHRISTOPHER BOOKER 



Twenty five years is a long time away and a lot can change before then.  Personally, I would never have a gas cooker or gas central heating in my flat, brought in by underground feed. Too many homes have been blown up by gas for my liking.

However, I do use propane,in sealed containers, for my heating. Yes, these pressurised containers can blow, but it would be through my own stupid fault by putting excessive heat onto the wall of the container. In any case, I doubt that even by doing that stupid thing,that the blast would not be contained inside.
