THE DAILY PAUL: DIEGO GARCIA *IS* INVOLVED
The islanders,who lived on Diego Garcia, have been fighting in the Courts in London,for decades, to get back to their homes. There were forced to move,by Britain, who owns Diego, when America leased the base on the island and expanded it.
The venerable U2 spy plane was taken out of mothballs and flown there to carry out overfly missions over Afghanistan. The cameras could 'see' from one day to the next, if small earthworks had taken place suggesting a buried roadside bomb.
In addition,there are a number of nuclear bombers, stealth and normal fighter planes, AWACs and tankers based there, which can reach Iran or anywhere else in the Middle East. It is basically a static aircraft carrier.
