T in the Park 2014: Paul Weller and Soul II Soul become latest acts to join Balado festival bill -



Tennents have done very well out of this festival. The original idea,came from the Blue Angel Motorcycle club, who chose Strathclyde Park near Hamilton, as a Summer venue, for their annual bike show.The club was formed in 1963 and is the oldest bike club in Europe.

In previous years, they had been using public house car parks, but these places were just too small.

So they hired a 2,000 capacity marquee and charged for weekend camping. Stalls paid a fee to have a pitch and the bands,etc., were paid from funds and income.Tennents were approached to provide the beer and the rest is history !!
