Mid Staffs scandal: NHS Trust fined £200k over death of 66-year-old diabetic patient |
To my shame, I watched a guy in the next bed to me in hospital, slip into an insulin blackout. I hadn't a clue. We were lying on our beds, chatting and there was a natural lull in our conversation. I thought he was having a nap. Then nurses are running with syringes and jagging him. He came round and didn't seem too bothered about it all as it had happened to him a few times. Family/friends had revived him.
