Activist Post: Politicians can decide whether I’m a journalist? Good luck.

I have often wonder whether I could be considered to be a self employed journalist by the work done on this site. I have thought about asking my local tax office about declaring myself to be self employed.
I get absolutely no income. I have no adverts and so I would automatically make a loss.I could claim for the first year and then give up.
I've thought about it and never bothered about it.
