You don't know that you are lucky in America with such low prices of petrol and diesel fuel.In the Uk petrol is £1.32 per litre.   A litre equals 1.78 pints and there are 8 pints in a Uk gallon. For some strange reason the American gallon is a different size from the Uk one!!  But Americans murder the English language so why not imperial measures as well!!
So a gallon of petrol in the Uk is £4.93  with diesel being up to 8 pence higher.
One US Dollar is equal to 64 pence  so that makes petrol  $7.70  or double the US price.
