Yep the old ones are the best gags!! From Roswell to the present day, when a pilot reported a remote control aircraft, passing closely to him, going in the opposite direction, over Denver, the old nutmeg was brought out, dusted down and put out there...........a weather balloon!!
If a pilot can't tell the difference, between a floating balloon and a remotely controlled aircraft, he should have his license taken away!!!
