The big problem with data mining and storage is the actual bulk. The more that is plucked from cyberspace the more messages with keywords are going to be passed to humans and there ain't enough humans!!
We should all send multiple e mails with "Al Qaeda means the list do your shopping at Tesco" in them and clog up the system with rubbish. perhaps they will re cycle instead or storing.
